CNC Machinist - Up to $25/hr, Mon-Thurs Schedule (16442)

Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a dependable and detail-oriented Machinist in Union City, PA. Responsibilities for this Machinist job include:

• Set up and operate various manual machining equipment, including older-style lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and grinders.

• Load, position, and secure materials into machines for cutting, shaping, and finishing.

• Monitor machine performance and make manual adjustments to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

• Perform tool changes, adjust cutting speeds and feeds, and make necessary machine adjustments.

• Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, thread and pin gages to verify part dimensions.

• Perform routine maintenance on machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance is maintained.

• Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, cut lists, and production specifications.

• Perform hands-on machining operations to produce parts according to required specifications.

• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

• Meet daily production goals and deadlines.

• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of manual machining or machine shop experience preferred.

• Experience operating traditional manual lathes, mills, drill presses, or similar equipment preferred.

• Ability to read a tape measure and blueprints.

• Familiarity with manual machine setups, tooling, and adjustments.

• Ability to use precision measuring instruments.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
