HVAC Technician III

Join a leading provider of data center services as a Critical Systems Technician III, HVAC, based in Las Vegas, NV. As the lead technician, you will oversee the installation, maintenance, and operation of complex HVAC systems, mentor junior staff, and play a key role in upholding contractual commitments to clients. Responsibilities Lead and perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on all HVAC equipment, including air and water-cooled chillers, centrifugal and screw package chillers, natural gas boilers, unit heaters, electric duct heaters, cooling towers, and various water pumps. Operate, maintain, and upgrade Building Automation Systems (BAS), including DDC, pneumatic, and variable frequency drive controls. Supervise, mentor, and provide technical guidance to junior technicians, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing. Monitor and ensure compliance with all contractual obligations related to mechanical services and maintenance. Respond to after-hours and emergency service calls as required, including participation in on-call rotations. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and system performance. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor to support facility operations. Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance as an essential function of the role. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 7 years of large commercial HVAC service experience required; 8 years preferred. Completion of a basic air conditioning theory class. Proficiency in the use of HVAC diagnostic tools and instruments. Experience with DDC, pneumatic, and variable frequency drive controls. Proficient in Microsoft Office or related software. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Universal Certification preferred. OSHA Certification preferred Must be a U.S. citizen. Ability to obtain security clearance preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
