Automotive Technician

KC Ford | Raytown, Missouri | Full-Time

KC Ford is looking for motivated and skilled Automotive Technicians to join our service department in Raytown, Missouri. We are seeking technicians with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing quality repairs and excellent customer service.

Compensation

$60,000–$130,000 annually , based on experience, skill level, certifications, productivity, performance, and other qualifying factors.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, maintain, and repair vehicles accurately and efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance, mechanical repairs, and component replacements.
• Use diagnostic tools and shop equipment to identify and resolve vehicle issues.
• Follow manufacturer specifications and dealership repair procedures.
• Complete repair orders and document all work performed accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Communicate repair findings and additional service needs to the service team.
• Collaborate with service advisors, parts staff, and fellow technicians to ensure efficient workflow.
• Participate in ongoing training to improve technical skills and stay current with vehicle technology.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive technician or mechanic experience preferred.
• Ford dealership experience is a plus.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical and automotive systems.
• Familiarity with diagnostic equipment, vehicle lifts, and other shop tools.
• ASE certifications and Ford manufacturer certifications are preferred but not required.
• Strong troubleshooting, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced service department.
• Reliable, professional, and committed to quality workmanship.
