Location Avera McKennan Hospital Work Type Regular Work Shift Day/Evening/Weekend/Holiday Shift (United States of America): 8:00 am – 8:30 pm; weekends – every 4th weekend; holidays – 2–3 per year. Minimal call time. Pay Range $32.50 – $48.50 per hour (actual pay depends on experience). Position Highlights Eligible for a $15,000 sign‑on bonus. 1–3 years working in a clinical environment. About the Team Join our Hospital at Home Team – redefining inpatient care. Hospital at Home transforms the way we deliver care by providing hospital‑level services to patients with low to moderate acuity needs right in the comfort of their own homes. As part of our innovative care team you’ll work alongside hospitalists, therapy, pharmacy, and advanced practice providers, serve patients throughout the Sioux Falls region typically for 1–2 days to ensure a seamless and personalized experience, and collaborate in a high‑satisfaction care model that patients love. What You Will Do Provide patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions, communicating the nursing care plan and all pertinent information to other members of the health‑care team, coordinating with other providers, and offering physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends. Act as an interventionalist in the home, using clinical expertise to make recommendations to physicians based on comprehensive assessments. Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining patients, documenting physical and psychological status, and identifying social factors; draw labs; provide respiratory care; establish diagnoses, objectives, and interventions. Teach patients and families about their condition, medications, and self‑care skills, answer questions, and provide information and resources. Evaluate patient care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring outcomes, reviewing records, noting changes, re‑evaluating objectives, and modifying the plan as needed. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by following infection‑control policies, medication and storage procedures, controlled‑substance regulations, and organizational standards. Document patient care services by charting in patient and departmental records. Keep equipment operating by following instructions, troubleshooting, maintaining supplies, and performing preventive maintenance. Ensure supplies are ready by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing orders, verifying receipt, and restocking. Maintain competence in nursing capabilities as outlined by leadership. Essential Qualifications Registered Nurse (RN) with an active state board license. Ability to work specified hours. Adequate visual acuity and effective communication skills, including the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds. Preferred: 1–3 years of Clinical experience in Med‑Surg, ER, or home health.
