About the Role Burn Boot Camp Columbus is looking for a hands-on, dependable Gym Manager to be the steady, trusted presence our members and staff can count on. This role blends people leadership, sales, member service, and day-to-day operations — you'll be the one making sure the gym runs smoothly, our members feel supported, and our team has what they need to succeed. Schedule & Availability Requirements This role requires consistent, reliable coverage across our key shift windows each week. You must be able to work at least one shift per week in each of the following time frames, and be available to pick up additional shifts in these windows as needed (if available):

4:30 AM – 8:15 AM

8:00 AM – 11:00 AM

4:00 PM – 7:00 PM

In addition, this role includes rotating Saturday shifts (7:30 AM – 11:00 AM), with a requirement of at least one Saturday shift per month. Being present during these shifts isn't just about covering hours — it's about being a consistent, visible presence so staff and members know you're someone they can rely on. You'll be there to jump in and help with staff or member issues as they come up, and simply be present in case anything needs attention. Over time, this consistency is what builds real trust with our team and our members. Dependability and flexibility with these shift windows is a core requirement of this role, not a preference. While the shifts above require being on-site at the gym, some aspects of this role — such as lead follow-up calls, responding to member emails, and certain administrative tasks — can be completed remotely outside of those shift windows. Key Responsibilities Sales & Lead Management Work lead calls and follow-up to convert prospects into members Confidently present membership options Handle objections effectively to close enrollments Support and help plan gym events, including joint ventures with local businesses/partners Member Communication & Account Management Respond to member emails regarding questions, concerns, and requests, and execute on whatever action is needed (schedule changes, account updates, etc.) Enter new memberships, process cancellations, and handle suspensions accurately in our systems Follow up on failed auto-pay transactions; escal ... etc Team & Operations Management Build and manage the monthly front desk team schedule Review payroll/timekeeping records weekly for clock-in issues or discrepancies Conduct monthly supply checks and manage retail inventory Be a visible, trusted leader on the floor during your shifts — supporting staff, engaging with members, and helping resolve day-to-day issues as they arise Train staff on their roles and responsibilities, and track their ongoing progress against performance standards Interview candidates for open staff positions Qualifications Prior sales experience, with a demonstrated ability to present pricing and overcome objections Technology & Systems: Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and confidently navigate new software and technology systems. Knowledge of Mindbody and Loopspark is a plus, but not required, as comprehensive training will be provided. Strong communication skills, both written (member emails) and verbal (sales, staff coaching) Highly dependable and consistent — this role is built around trust and presence Self-motivated with great energy — someone who naturally brings positivity to the floor Strong team fit — collaborative, coachable, and aligned with Burn Boot Camp's culture and values Must have the availability required across all three shift windows listed above, including willingness to fill in on additional shifts when available An interest in fitness is a plus!
