Commercial ParalegalWEX is seeking a self-driven and motivated individual to join our Commercial Legal team as a Commercial Paralegal. This role will be primarily responsible for supporting the commercial and transactional work of WEX's Corporate Payments line of business in the Americas. As a new member of the team, the Commercial Paralegal will have the opportunity to utilize and enhance their subject matter experience in commercial contracts and transactional matters, particularly customer and revenue-generating agreements.This role is flexible to work remotely from the following locations: Portland, ME, Boston, MA, New York, NY, Washington D.C., Chicago, IL, or Dallas, TX.How You'll Make an ImpactDraft and revise commercial contracts -- NDAs, customer contracts and other revenue generating agreements such as credit agreements, program agreements, referral agreements, technology services agreements, service level agreements, and non-disclosure agreements) accurately and in compliance with all WEX policies and risk framework.Review customer requested changes to the contracts, work with Corporate Payments attorneys and appropriate stakeholders for feedback/approvals and revise applicable documents accordingly.Assist attorneys with the preparation, review and execution of various transaction documents, forms and filings in connection with the Corporate Payments line of business in the Americas.Assist in the migration of legacy contracts to the company's new contract lifecycle management system (Malbek)Drive contracts from intake through workflow routing and version control, to execution and post-signing tasks through our contract lifecycle management system, including: obtaining all relevant information, create and redline contracts, route contracts for internal review and approvals, send contracts for signatures, and update the contract record as needed.Manage legal matter workflow, including managing the legal request queue for matter intake in the workload/matter management system (Xakia), interfacing with internal stakeholders and administrative tasks related to completing matters for the Corporate Payments legal team.Collaborate with other support functions, including Finance, Compliance and Risk.Assist with strategic projects as necessary.Utilize excellent written and verbal communication skills and exercise sound judgment and independent decision-making.Experience You'll BringEducation: Paralegal degree or certification, or bachelor's degree in Finance or BusinessLicense/Certification: Paralegal Certificate from an ABA accredited paralegal program, B.A. or B.S. degree, or Juris Doctorate.Experience: 5+ years of paralegal or equivalent experience with commercial contracts and transactional matters, including drafting and generating agreements, redlining, and reviewing contract revisions and commentsExperience with legal technologies (matter management and contract lifecycle management systems) strongly preferred.Experience with all aspects of a contract lifecycle management is highly preferred.Previous experience working in-house supporting a line of business on the customer side.Demonstrated ability to learn IT applications and systemsHard working, dependable, curious, proactive, resourceful, and consistently follow throughStrong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills to effectively and independently prioritize and manage a heavy workload while accountable for work product.Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracyCollaborative, flexible, adaptable and able to work across functions in a team-oriented environment.Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and DocuSign.The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan. Pay Range: $38.70 - $49.30
