Staff Accountant Oklahoma City, OK Position Summary Our client is hiring for a Staff Accountant who will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close activities, and assisting with financial reporting and analysis. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls while supporting day-to-day accounting operations. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and reclassifications Perform monthly balance sheet and income statement reconciliations Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Maintain general ledger accuracy and supporting documentation Reconcile bank accounts and other cash-related accounts Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed Assist with fixed asset accounting, depreciation, and disposals Help prepare financial statements and internal management reports Support audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred Solid understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting Experience with QuickBooks Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Compensation: $60k - $70k depending on education and experience.
