Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)
\nBronx, NY 10458 | On-site | Full-time, Permanent
\n \nAbout the Role
\nOur client is looking for an experienced Pharmacist in Charge to lead a busy retail pharmacy in the Bronx. You'll oversee daily operations, supervise a team of pharmacy technicians, and make sure every prescription is filled accurately and in compliance with the law. This's a hands-on leadership role for a licensed pharmacist with retail pharmacy management experience.
\n \nWhat You'll Do

- Review and fill provider prescriptions, checking that each one is appropriate and legal \n
- Prepare medications with the correct dosages and materials for each patient \n
- Counsel patients, listen to their concerns, and give clear medication guidance \n
- Maintain accurate patient profiles and dispensing histories \n
- Manage medication inventory, including stocking, labeling, and monitoring for expired or deteriorating products \n
- Organize the pharmacy so products are quick and easy to find \n
- Direct the daily work of pharmacy technicians, including scheduling and input on performance reviews \n
- Tell senior management about performance or behavior issues, leave requests, and accommodation needs \n
- Keep the pharmacy and its staff compliant with federal, state, and local laws and facility policies \n
- Stay current on HIPAA and Fraud, Waste & Abuse (FWA) requirements \n
What You Bring
\n- \n
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree \n
- Active, unrestricted New York State pharmacist license (required, not in process) \n
- 5+ years of retail pharmacy management experience \n
- Proven leadership, communication, and team management skills \n
- Experience with pharmacy patient management systems \n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluent English \n
