Description We are currently looking for aPart-Time 38 Clerkto join our Oak Hills Travel Gaming Operations Unit 5 team located at the Chickasaw Travel Stop #585. Summary: Operates cash register and stocks store. Promotes signature products by providing the highest level of customer service. Responsibilities: Provides first-class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members, and customers of all types Maintains a clean, organized work area and ensures a safe environment Maintains and promotes professionalism Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance, and other assigned work time metrics Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards Maintains knowledge of and follows all rules, regulations, policies, and guidelines for assigned area Sweeps, mops, dusts, vacuums, and performs basic cleaning and janitorial procedures Cleans windows, doors, mirrors, glass partitions, baseboards, jambs, trim, and walls; maintains sanitization of restrooms; empties and cleans waste receptacles Assists and guides customers with purchase selection Engages potential customers and guides with selection and purchase decisions May order catalog items if not in stock Promotes products to increase guest satisfaction and store sales Operates point-of-sale terminal to tally customer purchases and ensure accurate payment is received Operates point-of-sale terminal to tally customer purchases and ensure accurate payment is received Provides accurate change for cash purchases Processes discounts, refunds, exchanges, coupons accuratelyBalances register/terminal and completes reports for receipts and cash balance May perform minor troubleshooting of POS Maintains accurate cash count and assumes responsibility for any shortages at end of shift May be responsible for confirming POS pricing updates Audits register and change box funds by auditing account shortages and overages through the process of counting their shift bag down before and after closing out shift Stocks inventory several times during shift by placing products on display shelf for customer availability Performs all other duties as assigned Competencies: Essential: Able to follow instructions, both written and oral Able to adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirements Honesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountability Able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional, and all other rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines Able to verbally communicate professionally and positively with other team members, departments, guests, and management Skills: Essential: Vacuum cleaner, basic equipment, knowledge of carpet care Janitorial equipment and supplies Operate point-of-sale terminal Experience: Essential: No prior experience required Education: Essential: High School, GED, or Equivalent Credentials: Essential: Pass gaming background check Pass general background check Gaming license or permit as required by assigned position Working Conditions: Essential: May work where cigarette smoking occurs Bright and flashing lights Customer service Retail store Warehouse freezer/cooler Commercial and residential vacuum Computers, printers, phones Point-of-sale equipment Potential exposure to cleaning fluids and solvents Written and verbal communication Pass pre-employment drug test Frequently bend, kneel, stoop, push, reach Hand-eye coordination, reach and grasp Frequently lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs Moderately strenuous work Standing up to 100% of shift Walking up to 75% of shift May work day shift May work evening shift May work holidays May work night shift May work rotating shifts May work weekend shift Training *It is the responsibility of each employee to attend required training for their position or profession as determined by their line of support (LOS) or the leadership of the Chickasaw Nation.
