Join us to help champion awakenings through food, kindness, and gratitude.We are looking for a Prep Cook for our Sharpsburg Location.Job Summary:As the backbone of the kitchen, you are responsible for preparing ingredients that make gusto! flavorful and memorable. You will cut, chop, slice, label, date, and store food items while following gusto! food preparation standards. The Production Team Member must be respectful and professional and highly adaptable in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:Prep all recipes according to gusto! standards and specificationsWash designated food products in Antimicrobial fruit and vegetable treatmentChop and slice vegetablesWeigh, measure, and mix ingredientsStore, label, and rotate all food itemsEnsure the kitchen, equipment, and all food storage areas are organized, cleaned, sanitized, and maintained according to company and health department standardsFollow all food safety guidelinesAdhere to uniform and personal hygiene standards including wearing non-slip shoes and cutting glovesMonitor product freshness and rotate perishable and non-perishable productsOperate large-volume kitchen equipment such as grill, deep-fat fryers and other large kitchen equipmentBe comfortable standing for an entire shift and occasionally lifting items no heavier than 53 lbsOther assigned shop dutiesQualifications & Experience:Ability to read and follow recipe instructions accuratelyAble to work well in a team environmentPunctual, reliable, and trustworthyAbility to multitaskAbility to work all shifts including nights, weekends, and some holidays, as requiredDesire for continuous learning and professional developmentMust have reliable means of transportationMust be at least 18 years oldFood prep experience preferred but not requiredBenefits:Pay rate: $12-14 + TipsTip sharingAccess to wages before paydayFlexible schedulingDetailed and intentional trainingTeam Member food perksFantastic Teammates! gusto! fresh bowls & wraps
