Job Description The Human Resource Director is responsible for planning, leading, directing, developing, and coordinating the policies, programs, and activities of the Human Resources department. This role ensures legal compliance and alignment with the mission, values, and talent strategy of the company. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Supervisory Responsibilities Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard departmental staff. Oversee the daily operations and workflow of the HR department. Provide timely, constructive performance evaluations and coaching. Manage employee disciplinary actions and terminations in accordance with company policy and applicable laws. Key Responsibilities Partner with senior leadership to align HR strategies with organizational goals, particularly in staffing, recruitment, and retention. Design, implement, and manage HR policies, processes, and initiatives to support compliance and workforce effectiveness. Oversee all core HR functions, including: Compensation, benefits and leave administration Employee relations, disputes, and investigations Performance management and talent development Training and organizational development Support managers with performance reviews and performance improvement plans (PIPs). Develop and execute effective recruiting and talent management strategies to meet workforce needs. Analyze HR metrics and organizational trends using HRIS and other reporting tools to inform decision-making. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; update policies as needed. Stay current on HR best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies; communicate impacts to leadership. Lead professional development initiatives and training programs for HR staff. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal and negotiation abilities Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Effective leadership and team management capabilities Ability to adapt to organizational and employee needs Strong delegation and prioritization skills In-depth knowledge of employment laws and regulations Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to quickly learn HRIS and talent management systems Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (required) Master’s degree (preferred) Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR management experience SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification (strongly preferred) #J-18808-Ljbffr
