About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP, Strategic Operations Manager with a strong background in insurance operations or underwriting, particularly in the specialty and commercial sectors. The successful candidate will be a key business relationship and product management partner, responsible for driving operational excellence, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and optimizing technology and operational workflows. This role requires a strategic leader who can partner with business unit divisional presidents and leaders to understand and guide the team in analyzing customer and employee journeys for improvement. The VP will also be instrumental in the execution of digital transformation initiatives, ensuring the integration of market insights into business planning, and promoting business innovation through collaborative problem-solving. Candidates for this role at The Company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a Master's degree, and at least 10 years' of experience in insurance operations or underwriting. A Certified Business Relationship Manager or Product Management certification, or equivalent Agile certification, is required. The role demands exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, as well as a proven track record in strategic vision and the ability to translate business plans into operational and technology solutions. The VP will be expected to champion continuous improvement, ownership, and collaboration across business, operations, and technology, and to have a strong background in digital transformation execution and an understanding of the end-to-end insurance lifecycle.
