Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire

Description: Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate. Prepares preliminary paperwork for final interpretation by the cardiologist. Performs exercise, pharmaceutical, and echo stress tests. Recognizes chest pain and arrhythmias with stress testing. Responds and obtains appropriate and immediate assistance as needed. Monitors, receives, and stocks stress lab supplies. Disassembles, cleans, and sterilizes equipment as needed. Troubleshoots minor problems and makes adjustments as needed during procedures. Prepares recordings for interpretation. Collects and reviews pertinent medical history and medication information to perform the appropriate study prescribed by the physician. Assists with computerized charting and related activities. Assists with activities to improve department processes and maintain quality for optimal patient results.

Minimum Education: Graduate of an approved course in Radiologic Technology.

Minimum Work Experience: Hospital training during two years of approved Radiologic Technologist program. Experience in other x-ray departments, clinics, or medical offices highly desirable.
