This government facility maintains the clinical infrastructure and established protocols necessary to support gastroenterology coverage across inpatient and clinic settings in Portsmouth, Virginia. The facility is structured to ensure continuity of specialized care for the adult patient population served. Locum tenens gastroenterology coverage is sought beginning as soon as possible on an ongoing basis.

Portsmouth, Virginia is a historic seaport city offering clinicians on assignment access to a range of cultural, recreational, and entertainment options. Points of interest include the Children's Museum of Virginia, Portsmouth City Park, the art-deco Commodore Theatre, and the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Museum. Clinicians will provide inpatient and clinic-based gastroenterology coverage on a day shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with call coverage required as part of the assignment. Clinical responsibilities include performing scoping procedures, managing consults, and conducting general GI and advanced procedures in accordance with established facility protocols. This is an on-site position at a government facility in Portsmouth, Virginia. Board certification in Gastroenterology is required for consideration.
