Investigative Analyst - Special Investigations Division

Agency Office of the State Auditor Division Position Title Assistant State Auditor III (NS) Responsibilities Conduct preliminary investigations and perform analyses of complaints to determine potential courses of action. Speak with complainants and other witnesses to gather information and documentation needed to begin an investigation. Conduct background investigations, including researching and evaluating federal, state, and local regulations. Be called upon to conduct site visits with members of the Investigative Audit team. Document findings within an investigative report and may assist with writing public reports of the Investigative Team's findings. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrated ability to apply analytical methods and techniques to review and investigate complaints. Experience evaluating data and identifying patterns or discrepancies that could indicate misconduct. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree with 24 semester hours in accounting from an accredited institution and 3 years of experience in auditing/accounting. Equivalent combination of education and experience. Salary $85,000 - $95,000 Benefits 40‑hour work week with flexible schedule options and ability to earn compensatory time off.
