The Intern will be responsible for ensuring the completion and accuracy of accounting and finance functions of Six Flags Entertainment Corporation. This internship opportunity is on our Revenue Accounting team.Ideal candidates will commit to a minimum of thirteen (13) weeks in an Intern/seasonal position.Preferred candidates should be currently enrolled in an associate or bachelor's degree program to join the team. The Intern will be immersed in day-to-day work activity on our revenue accounting team (and other Shared Accounting Services (SAS) areas) over the course of the internship.Six Flags is a leader in the amusement park and hospitality business and we offer challenging and rewarding internship opportunities. Joining our Shared Accounting Services (SAS) team not only offers the unique opportunity to become part of a well-respected, financially stable entertainment industry leader with a 150-year heritage of creating lifelong memories, but also presents you with a chance to intern, learn and build skills in the exciting and FUN consumer services sector!ResponsibilitiesThis intern will have the opportunity to immerse in day-to-day work activity in the below discipline:Develop hands-on experience with the daily revenue accounting process, including importing, reviewing, and validating data between point-of-sale systems and accounting platforms.Collect, organize, and record revenue activity from non-integrated sources to support accurate and timely financial reporting.Assist with compiling, calculating, and preparing payments to third-party vendors in accordance with revenue share agreements.Support the reconciliation of assigned revenue-related balance sheet accounts by reviewing activity, identifying discrepancies, and assisting with resolution.QualificationsDynamic and enthusiastic applicants currently enrolled in an associate or bachelor's degree program in accounting, finance, business management or applicable related studies.This is an exciting hands-on experience in the accounting field while contributing to a FUN and positive work environment.
