About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified IMC RN in Omaha, Nebraska, 68147!

• Provide intermediate-level cardiac and vascular nursing care to a diverse patient population including CVA, CHF, A-fib RVR, post-surgical, and downgraded CVICU patients on an 18-bed unit
• Titrate drips including Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Nicardipine, Epinephrine, Cardizem, and other blood pressure management medications
• Read and interpret telemetry strips independently; unit utilizes remote tele techs with hardwired and tele box capabilities
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 (1:3 for post-surgical patients in the first 24 hours)
• Support the thoracic program, EP, cath lab, and structural heart programs
• Float to units of the same or lower acuity level as needed; wear navy blue scrubs per dress code

• Active RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of experience with cardiac stepdown or equivalent patient population
• Must successfully pass an open-book skills exam during orientation with a score of 90% or higher
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas; compliance is required for contract continuation
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; a valid driver's license will be required at submittal to verify eligibility
• Candidates currently employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) at any facility associated with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity are not eligible

• Experience supporting thoracic surgery, electrophysiology, cath lab, or structural heart programs
• Familiarity with BiPAP and CPAP respiratory equipment in a cardiac care setting
• Experience working alongside remote telemetry monitoring teams

• Work alongside a well-supported team including on-site hospitalists, intensivists, respiratory therapists available 24/7, and cardiology on call after hours
• Orientation is tailored to your experience level, offering a smooth transition onto the unit
