IP Practice Manager

Talent Acquisition LLC

A leading international law firm is seeking an experienced IP Practice Manager to support the business operations of its Intellectual Property Department and Intellectual Property Litigation Practice. This highly visible role partners with practice leadership, attorneys, and administrative teams to drive attorney development, staffing strategy, operational excellence, and legal support management across multiple offices. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong project management, relationship-building, and team development skills who thrives in a fast-paced professional services environment. Responsibilities Attorney Professional Development & Staffing Manage attorney staffing and work allocation across billable, pro bono, and administrative matters Align assignments with attorney experience, development goals, and business needs Support attorney evaluations, onboarding, integration, training, and professional development initiatives Coordinate coverage and staffing adjustments during attorney absences and leaves Department Operations & Reporting Support the execution of department and practice group strategic initiatives Prepare productivity and operational reports for practice leadership Coordinate department projects, meetings, retreats, and other operational initiatives Business Development & Marketing Support pitches, RFP responses, CLE programs, department events, and lateral integration efforts Partner with Business Development and Marketing teams on strategic initiatives and practice growth activities Legal Support & Team Management Oversee the management, staffing, and professional development of paralegal and legal support teams Monitor workflow allocation and resource utilization to ensure effective support across offices Partner with Human Resources and practice leadership on performance management, employee relations, and process improvement initiatives Qualifications Bachelor's degree required 5+ years of experience in a legal or professional services environment 3+ years of management or supervisory experience Strong leadership, coaching, project management, and relationship-management skills Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage competing priorities with professionalism and discretion Experience supporting intellectual property, litigation, or practice operations functions preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr Talent Acquisition LLC
