Manager, Health and Safety

Overview Of The Role The Health & Safety Manager is responsible for leading and sustaining the facility’s health and safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance, reduce risk, and protect employees and the environment. This role drives a strong safety culture through proactive leadership, training, and continuous improvement initiatives. How You Will Make Contributions That Matter Provide leadership to promote a strong safety culture across all departments. Manage and maintain site safety programs, including OSHA compliance and reporting. Conduct safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments (JSAs). Lead accident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. Track and report safety metrics, injury data, and compliance activities. Manage workers’ compensation claims and partner with HR on return-to-work programs. Develop and deliver safety training and ensure compliance with required programs (e.g., PPE, LOTO, confined space). Maintain safety documentation including OSHA logs and regulatory records. Serve as liaison with regulatory agencies and support environmental compliance efforts. Support emergency response, crisis management, and process safety programs. You Are Best Suited for the Role If You Have Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of experience in a safety leadership role, preferably in manufacturing. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance requirements. Experience leading safety programs, audits, and incident investigations. Proven ability to influence, coach, and develop teams. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Preferred Certifications OSHA 30-hour certification (or ability to obtain). CPR/First Aid certification. Work Environment Manufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and equipment. Flexibility to support off-shift or weekend needs as required.
