Step into an impactful role supporting elementary students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract opportunity offers the chance to provide essential services at a single elementary campus, fostering connections and making a difference throughout the school year.

Key Qualifications:

• Current, active Virginia SLP license required
• Previous experience delivering speech services in school settings or with pediatric populations strongly preferred
• Ability to assess, diagnose, and provide interventions for communication and speech disorders
• Proficient in collaborating with teachers, families, and other professionals
• Comfortable working independently and as a valued part of a multidisciplinary team
• Must complete district-mandated TB test and participate in an on-site background check with Human Resources

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct speech-language therapy to elementary-aged students, targeting individualized communication goals
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with educational staff and parents
• Maintain accurate student records and progress notes in accordance with school and state guidelines
• Conduct assessments, screenings, and evaluations to identify student needs
• Participate in IEP meetings, eligibility conferences, and staff collaboration sessions
• Offer consultative support to teachers regarding strategies for integrating communication goals in classroom activities

This position features a 0.5 FTE schedule, working 18.75 hours per week with a consistent assignment at a single elementary campus. You’ll enjoy collaborating with a supportive administrative team, prescheduled workdays, and the satisfaction of guiding students’ progress over the school year.
