Seabrook School District is actively seeking a qualified candidate for a School Psychologist. This position works to support the success of students academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally. Collaborates with educators, parents, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community for all students. Identifies and assesses the learning, development, and adjustment characteristics and needs of individual and groups, as well as, the environmental factors that affect learning and adjustment. Provides interventions to students to support the teaching process and to maximize learning and adjustment. Assists in the planning, development, and evaluation of programs to meet identified learning and adjustment needs. Delivers a planned and coordinated program of psychological services. Must have NH Department of Education School Psychologist Licensure.

Position Description
As a school psychologist, works to support the success of students academically, socially, behaviorally, and emotionally. Collaborates with educators, parents, and other professionals to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments that strengthen connections between home, school, and the community for all students. Identifies and assesses the learning, development, and adjustment characteristics and needs of individuals and groups, as well as, the environmental factors that affect learning and adjustment.
Provides interventions to students to support the teaching process and to maximize learning and adjustment. Assists in the planning, development, and evaluation of programs to meet identified learning and adjustment needs. Delivers a planned and coordinated program of psychological services.
Education and Experience: NH Department of Education School Psychologist Licensure
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Possess knowledge of federal and state policies and regulations regarding special education eligibility and programming.
- Possess knowledge of acceptable psychological testing procedures and practices.
- Maintain and respect the confidentiality of student and personnel information, while maintaining the safety and welfare of students and staff members.
- Maintain accurate records of all psychological services provided.
- Cooperate with staff members and parents in maintaining a positive climate during meetings and/or conferences.
- Deliver services consistent with the National Association of School Psychologist and the American Psychological Association ethical principles and professional standards of practice.
Responsibilities
- Participate as a member of IEP teams to review referrals of students suspected of having an educational disability to determine the need for interventions or evaluations.
- Serve as a member of the IEP team in determining eligibility of a student for special education.
- Conduct psycho-educational evaluations that may include but not be limited to assessment of intellectual, developmental, academic, social/emotional, and behavioral status.
- Interpret and utilize assessment data for the purpose of writing reports.
- Complete clearly written and comprehensive reports which provide specific and practical recommendations relative to instructional/educational needs of the student.
- Submit all required paperwork within a timely manner, adhering to all federal, state, and local policies/regulations.
- Serve as a member of the Behavioral Intervention Team.
- Serve as a member of the Crisis Response Team.
- Participate as needed in the Seabrook Elementary Intervention Team.
- Attend weekly special education team meetings.
- Provide counseling as specified in IEP's of students (and write goals for the IEP).
- Consult with middle school GMT's as needed.
- Consult with SES and SMS guidance counselors as needed.
- Consult with private and public practitioners regarding student needs/progress.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Services.
Term of Employment: As defined by SEA and SAU 21 Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Evaluation: Performance in this position will be evaluated annually by the Director of Special Services
