As a Security Officer Access Control in Artesia, NM , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location where you will manage access control, monitor assigned areas, and conduct routine patrols to help support a secure environment. In this role, you will remain visible, help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $21.37 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, process visitor and contractor check-in and check-out, and document access-related activity in accordance with site protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or public emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, gates, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized access and identify unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Monitor cameras, communication systems, and access control equipment, complete required reports, and communicate clearly with site personnel regarding deliveries, restricted areas, and other access-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
