Database AdministratorOnsite at 10311 BLYTHEWOOD RD BLYTHEWOOD, SC 29016. Duration: 12+ Months. Web Cam Interview. Pay: $75/Hr on W2.Scope Of The Project:Supports in the neighborhood of 300 plus SQL Server databases and are in the process of migrating those databases from SQL Server 2019 to SQL Server 2022.In addition, DMV is implementing high availability solutions on a number of the systems supported by these databases and increasing our use of reporting services and analysis services implemented in a number of support systems such as SharePoint, MS System Center, Team Foundation Server, and others.Daily Duties / Responsibilities:Setup and maintain data replication and mirroringConfigure maintenance automationBackup and RecoveryTroubleshoot SQL Server performance issues as they occur, including after-hours and weekendsSQL Server monitoringInstall and configure new SQL ServersDevelop and support data warehouse and cubes through SQL Server Analysis ServicesMigrate SQL Server databases to SQL Server 2022Develop reports using SSRSSupport SSIS packagesDevelop database design, development, and management standardsConsult with developers regarding database design.Implement and support 3rd party databases for vendor supplied applicationsOracle 19 familiarity: DesiredAnalyze, develop, and support stored procedures and SQL.Business IntelligenceDesign, develop, and manage dashboards and reports through a BI solutionData Modeling – as assignedDesigning, developing, and maintaining logical and physical data models using ERwin Data ModelerEnsuring database designs support scalability, integrity, and performance requirements.Collaborating with data architects, developers, and business analysts to translate business requirements into data models.Modeling activities are required in Oracle databases and may be required for MS SQL databasesRequired Skills (Rank In Order Of Importance):5+ years of experience with SQL Server 2019 and 20225+ years of experience with SQL Server Reporting Services5+ years of experience with SQL Server Analysis Services5+ years of experience with SQL Reports Designer5+ years of experience with BI tools and design5+ years of experience as an SQL database administrator2+ years of experience working with state government agenciesPreferred Skills (Rank In Order Of Importance):Data Domain Boost (Dd Boost) to support backup and restore operations for SQL ServersExperience with Oracle 19 database operationsExperience with Oracle Grid ControlExperience with Erwin Data ModelerRequired Education:BA in Computer Science, Data Science, or closely related field.
