Aerotek is hiring experienced Outside Machinists to work at Huntington Ingalls Shipyard in Newport News, VA.

Requirements

3+ years of experience as an Outside Machinist

Experience working on U.S. Navy or commercial vessels

Job Duties

Install and align pumps, motors, engines, and propulsion equipment
Perform valve overhauls and hydrostatic testing
Repair AC and refrigeration systems
Operate lathes, boring bars, and milling/drilling equipment
Install hydraulic systems, air compressors, and shipboard equipment
Use precision measuring tools to ensure proper alignment and fit
Support shafting, bearing work, and system testing

$35.00/Hour

$140/Day Tax-Free Per Diem

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Newport News, VA.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
