Neonatology Physician

Setting: Level IIIB NICU 60 beds, approximately 625 annual admissions
- Serve as Practice Medical Director for an established Level IIIB NICU
- Lead clinical operations, provider performance, quality, and patient safety initiatives
- Drive clinical innovation and neonatal program development
- Collaborate with hospital leadership and academic partners to expand neonatal services
- Participate in teaching, mentoring, Grand Rounds, simulation Boot Camps, and academic programming
- Potential sign-on bonus and relocation assistance

- Provide clinical care in a 60-bed Level IIIB NICU with approximately 625 annual admissions
- Oversee clinical operations and support high-quality provider performance
- Lead and implement quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Develop and advance neonatal clinical programs and services
- Collaborate with hospital leadership and academic partners
- Teach and mentor:
- Medical students
- Pediatric residents
- Family medicine residents
- Participate in Grand Rounds, simulation Boot Camps, and educational programming
- Mentor residents on quality improvement and research projects
- Support scholarly and academic initiatives in partnership with the medical school
- Work alongside multidisciplinary pediatric subspecialists, including maternal-fetal medicine and pediatric surgery
- Utilize advanced neonatal therapies including high-frequency ventilation and nitric oxide therapy

- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified in Neonatology Board Eligible candidates are not being considered
- Current Virginia medical license or willingness to obtain
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a NICU or clinical program development
- Previous Neonatology experience required
