About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 12 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, FHM, NRP, BLS Must-Have: Antepartum Care and Procedures Fetal Monitoring IV Therapy/Phlebotomy Labor and Delivery Management Neonatal Care in Delivery Room Postpartum Care Description: Minimum experience required is 1 year. The unit does not accept first-time travelers. Diagnoses include but are not limited to pre-eclampsia, eclampsia, placenta accreta, percreta, increta, diabetes, no prenatal care, cholestasis, pyelonephritis, PROM, and abruption. Deliveries start at 22 weeks. The unit has 12 rooms. Staff-to-patient ratios are 1:2. Weekend coverage is required for 6 shifts over a 6-week schedule. There is no call requirement, and floating within the facility is expected as needed. Travelers are expected to work if one major holiday falls during their assignment period. Travelers are expected to work two holidays if two major holidays fall during their assignment period. If three major holidays fall during their assignment period, travelers are expected to work two of the holidays. Holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day. Full compliance is required to start on time.
