POSITION SUMMARY

Steamboat Transportation Team is looking for a Lead Parking Attendant. This position is for our winter season and must have at least one (1) year of previous experience with parking and have a valid driver’s license. ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Assist the Parking Supervisor with leadership for a staff of 15 parking employees.

• Help to coordinate daily lot schedule requirements, including breaks, ski breaks, Lunch breaks, and labor management.

• Provide traffic control of vehicles entering and leaving parking lots, ensuring safe, steady flow, and pedestrian safety

• Provide outstanding Service Excellence to our guests. (resort information, directions, etc.)

• Providing clean, safe transportation of our guests to the ski area from several established pick-up locations around the resort

• Scheduling and staffing lots appropriately to maintain parking and drop off efficiencies to maximize revenue potential

• Provide snow removal and ice build-up prevention around in and around parking lots

• Assist Base Area Services/Security/Facilities with other projects as assigned

• Responsible for dealing with approximately 2000 cars daily and 150,000 cars seasonally

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 2 years of previous work history/education required

• One season of parking related experience

• Ensure understanding and compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements

• Must interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski and Resort Company’s Service Excellence standards

• Lead by example, and to provide positive, constructive attitude and work cooperatively within the transportation and security departments

• Must communicate both verbally and non-verbally in a positive, guest friendly manner

• Expected to report to work timely at 6:00 AM, dressed and prepared for your daily assignment.

• Operating a vehicle is an essential function of this position and will require the successful applicant to meet the minimum requirements of the Alterra Driver’s Standards Policy that includes possessing a valid Driver's License and meeting insurability standards

• Problem-solve in a highly effective manner and maintain positive relationships with guests and staff, including management, and co-workers in a fast-paced working environment.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED required

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

Steamboat Springs area base hourly pay range: $20.54 - $26.64 per hour

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must bend and lift 50 lbs. (sign bases, ice melt bags, cones, barricades)

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age

• Work complete shift outdoors, often in extreme weather conditions

• Maintain a professional well-groomed appearance, and keep uniform items clean and presentable.

• Must remain standing for extended periods of time in one outdoor location, often in extreme weather condition
