Technical Customer Service Representative
The Marine Technical Customer Service Representative serves as a primary contact for customers, providing customer service, order support, and technical assistance. The ideal candidate has hands-on marine experience and can confidently assist customers with products, parts, troubleshooting, and order-related questions.
Requirements of the Technical Customer Service Representative
- Marine industry experience strongly preferred.
- Experience as a boat mechanic, marine technician, service writer/advisor, marine parts specialist, or similar role highly valued.
- Working knowledge of marine mechanical and/or electrical systems, controls, instrumentation, or related components.
- Strong customer service, communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to explain technical information clearly to customers.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with different departments.
Responsibilities of the Technical Customer Service Representative
- Respond to customer questions by phone and email in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist customers with product identification, replacement parts, troubleshooting, and potential solutions.
- Process customer orders accurately and provide order and shipment updates.
- Communicate with dealers, boat builders, technicians, distributors, and retail customers.
- Coordinate with sales, production, shipping, engineering, and other departments to resolve customer needs.
- Maintain accurate customer and order information.
- Build strong customer relationships through responsive communication and follow-through.
- Identify recurring customer concerns and communicate opportunities for improvement.
- Follow company quality and documentation requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
1st shift, DIRECT HIRE
Pay is $50,000 - $70,000 annually, based on experience
