Air Export Coordinator | Houston, TX | Salary up to $65,000 This is a hands-on role for someone with solid air export freight forwarding experience who can manage shipments from booking through to final delivery while providing a high level of service to customers, airlines, overseas agents, and transportation partners. Salary up to $65,000, depending on experience Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and company holidays Opportunities for professional growth and career development Stable position with an established international freight forwarder Key Responsibilities Manage the full A–Z air export process, from initial booking through to final delivery Coordinate air export shipments with airlines, co-loaders, truckers, warehouses, and overseas agents Prepare and process Air Waybills (AWBs) and all required export documentation Make airline bookings and confirm space, schedules, routings, and cut-off times Prepare export documentation and ensure shipments comply with applicable regulations Complete AES filings and ensure accurate shipment information is maintained Track shipments and proactively communicate updates, delays, and exceptions Coordinate pickup and delivery arrangements with trucking providers Communicate directly with customers regarding shipment status, documentation, and requirements Obtain and provide freight rates and prepare customer quotations when required Review and verify shipping documentation for accuracy Coordinate with overseas offices and international agents to ensure smooth shipment movement Handle shipment billing and ensure files are completed accurately and on time Resolve operational issues and work closely with internal teams to provide effective solutions Maintain accurate records within the company's operating system Experience 2+ years of air export freight forwarding experience Strong knowledge of the air export process from A–Z Experience with airline bookings, AWBs, export documentation, and AES Good understanding of international freight forwarding procedures Experience coordinating with airlines, truckers, warehouses, customers, and overseas agents Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment Freight forwarding software experience is preferred; CargoWise experience is a plus Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to shipment management #J-18808-Ljbffr People Freight | Freight Forwarding & Logistics Recruitment Specialists
