MDM Search and our Regional Mental Healthcare partner are seeking a licensed Psychiatrist to join our Nevada practice in a Regional Director role providing comprehensive behavioral health services to adults and geriatrics in a variety of clinical settings and managing administrative responsibilities in a 60% / 40% time split. \n

\n Service areas incorporate Las Vegas, Henderson, Reno, Sparks, Carson City, and Rural Nevada. \n

Duties/Responsibilities \n
\n • Conducts psychiatric examinations. \n
\n • Makes diagnoses and prescribes therapy. \n
\n • Administers and interprets projective tests. \n
\n • Participates in staff conferences and recommends appropriate treatment approaches. \n
\n • Assists in developing and organizing a program of clinic treatment. \n
\n • Directs case conferences. Serves as a consultant to other clinic staff. \n
\n • Confers with patients regarding illness and treatment. \n
\n • Assists through consultation in establishing psychiatric programs and policies. \n
\n • Keeps medical records and prepares psychiatric reports. \n
\n • Completes other duties as assigned. \n

Job Types \n
\n Full-time, in-person, some travel required (30% estimate) \n
\n
Requirements \n
\n • Completion of a residency training program in psychiatry and two years of post-residency experience as a psychiatrist in a psychiatric facility required. \n
\n • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school. \n
\n • Licensure as a physician in Nevada or willing to attain Licensure. \n
\n • DEA - Prescribe controlled substances - XDEA not required\n
\n • Possession of a valid state driver’s license may be required. Required Skills/Abilities \n
\n • Knowledge of general medicine and psychiatry; current developments in the field of psychiatry; hospital and clinic organization, management, and procedures. \n
\n • Ability to skillfully diagnose and treat severely and persistently mentally ill patients. \n
\n • Ability to analyze situations and adopt an effective course of action. \n
\n • Ability to prepare records and reports. \n
\n • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. \n
\n • Ability to maintain objectivity and confidentiality. Benefits \n
