Forklift / Skid Steer Operator
Spring Valley, IL

19.00/HR
Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM | No Weekends

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Forklift / Skid Steer Operator for a growing recycling and material processing facility in Spring Valley, IL.

Job Responsibilities:

Operate a sit-down forklift and skid steer to safely move, load, unload, and stage materials throughout the facility.
Load and unload trucks while ensuring accurate material handling and inventory movement.
Process recycled plastic materials through various stages, including washing, drying, sorting, cleaning, and repackaging.
Move materials between production areas and prepare finished products for shipment.
Ensure all products meet quality and cleanliness standards before shipment or storage.
Follow all safety procedures while operating forklifts, skid steers, and other equipment in an industrial environment.
Complete routine equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns as needed.
Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments and material transfers.
Assist with organizing and routing materials received from locations throughout the Midwest for final processing in Spring Valley.
Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to maintain efficient workflow and production goals.

Qualifications:

Previous experience operating a sit-down forklift required.
Skid steer operating experience preferred.
Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing or recycling environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical job duties throughout the shift.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
Reliable attendance and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
