Your Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and crafting personalized care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, and chronic conditions independently or in collaboration with supervising physicians
• Providing education to patients and their families about preventative care, wellness initiatives, and effective disease management
• Prescribing medications and therapies consistent with your practice scope
• Engaging in follow-up care and chronic disease management with patients
• Working collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care
• Documenting clinical findings accurately and completely in electronic medical records (EMR)

Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) is mandatory
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certifications You Will Need

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Alabama
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to acquire within 90 days)
