Job Summary and Qualifications Coordinate services of the inpatient pharmacy. Make assignments within job description for specific staff classifications. Monitor/manage drug and supply inventory. Monitor/manage controlled substance inventory. Monitor and document staff performance. Administer staff performance appraisals. Participate in relevant Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives. Implement departmental directives regarding policy, procedure, program and system additions or revisions. Participate in interview process for potential new hires and convey recommendations to the Director of Pharmacy. Represent Pharmacy on interdisciplinary committees. Perform in a staff distributive and/or clinical role as required. Communicates effectively with pharmacy staff, patients and all members of the healthcare team. Directs and coordinates scheduling and payroll. What qualifications you will need:

QUALIFICATIONS

Required - Prior experience as a pharmacist. New graduates required to have gained pharmacy experience as an intern/extern License in good standing as a Pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Preferred - Prior experience in hospital pharmacy and pharmacy management.

EDUCATION

Required - Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy. Preferred - Advanced degree in pharmacy management or administration.
