The successful candidate will be a seasoned and collaborative leader, serving as the primary advocate for the organization's vision. This role involves building and nurturing partnerships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including public agencies, private landowners, elected officials, community organizations, land trusts, and tribes. The Executive Director will be responsible for closing critical gaps in the trail, ensuring its sustainability for future generations, and promoting its use and popularity within the community. Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include leading with a spirit of collaboration, serving as a convener for regional trail discussions, and acting as a catalyst for funding opportunities. The role also requires the ability to navigate complex partnerships, direct a skilled staff, and balance natural resource protection with public engagement. The ideal candidate will be an inspiring and strategic leader, capable of enhancing the growth and funding of the trail while championing its value throughout the communities it serves.
