Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Traveling Physical Therapist Opportunity

Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join a traveling Physical Therapist assignment in Northfield, NJ at an outpatient clinic. Provide orthopedic outpatient care, including comprehensive evaluations, development and implementation of treatment plans, 60-minute evaluations and treatment as indicated, and patient, family and student education. Maintain accurate documentation, follow physician orders and payer requirements, and participate in quality and safety initiatives. Start is in June. This position requires flexibility for a 40-hour work week with 1–2 evenings until 7 PM as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active New Jersey physical therapy license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
• Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to perform 60-minute evaluations and treatment sessions.
• Competence in documentation, goal writing, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in compliance with regulatory and payer requirements.
• Ability to supervise and educate students and coordinate discipline-specific therapy services.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior travel or contract therapy experience.
• Experience with performance improvement initiatives and participation in student programs.
• Completion of relevant continuing education in orthopedic or outpatient practice.

Assignment Details

• 40 hours per week, flexible schedule.
• 1–2 evenings per week with coverage until 7 PM.
• Orthopedic outpatient caseload with 60-minute evaluations and treatment sessions.
