Clinical Assistant and Research Coordinator

The Nashville Hip Institute at TOA is a part of Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance, the largest orthopaedic surgery group in Nashville and Middle Tennessee. Clinical Assistant:

As a Clinical Assistant your responsibility serves an important role in our holistic patient care by partnering with TOA physicians to ensure that patient care is of the highest effectiveness and quality. Clinical Assistant responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Demonstrates exceptional customer service and patient focus to make each patient interaction as positive as possible.
• Perform comprehensive medical history review and obtain chief complaints in preparation for examination and treatment.
• Ensure that all patient information is entered accurately and swiftly into patient charts.
• Triage patient telephone calls/emails by answering questions and providing consultation and education to the patients.
• Prepare prescription orders as directed by physician.
• Demonstrate courtesy and helpfulness toward patients by educating them on all aspects of the prescribed treatment plan.
• Assist with coordinating surgery and clinic schedules.
• Manage and coordinate physician referral requests.

Research Coordinator:

As a Research Coordinator your responsibility is to screen, enroll and follow study subjects, ensuring protocol compliance and close monitoring while the subjects are on study. Research Coordinator responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

• Oversee data collection.
• Oversee data assimilation.
• Maintains informed consents of each patient for the duration of a study.
• Ensure the protection of study patients by verifying informed consent procedures and adhering to protocol requirements.
• Ensure that patient documentation is completed at each clinic visit while in screening.
• Prepare publishable research.

Requirements

• You have an exceptional focus on the patient experience. You are passionate about providing excellent care and compassion to our patients and their families.
• You are energetic and have an enthusiastic pace at work. You are able to swiftly and accurately manage the flow of patients, without any diminishing focus on patient care.
• You are flexible. You understand that no two days may be the same, and it excites you to adjust to those changes.
• You are dependable. You have the capacity to be at work on-time, every day so our patients can receive the care they need in a timely manner.
• Knowledge of the clinical research processes.
• At least 5 years' experience in a research setting preferred.
• You hold a current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations.
• Experience in a physician office or hospital preferred.
• BLS required upon hire.
