Outside Sales Representative (Middle Georgia Territory)

Job Summary

The  Ready-Mix Concrete Sales Representative secures high-volume commercial, residential, and infrastructure accounts across Middle Georgia. Managing a territory focused on  Macon, Warner Robins, and the surrounding counties , you will bid on structural projects, consult on mix designs, and act as the dedicated customer service champion for our regional builders and accounts, ensuring consistent product performance and reliable on-site delivery.

Territory Coverage

• Primary market footprint includes  Bibb, Houston, Peach, Jones, and Monroe counties.
• Regular travel to local GDOT projects, housing developments, and commercial construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow market share across residential, commercial, and infrastructure segments
• Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, concrete subcontractors, project managers, and owners
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts
• Provide on-site job service support
• Communicate technical guidance with support from the Quality Control team.  Investigate and resolve product issues and service-related complaints in a timely fashion. 
• Coordinate with dispatch and plant operations to ensure accurate scheduling, load sequencing, and on-time delivery
• Prepare and present quotes, respond to bid requests, and negotiate pricing within approved guidelines
• Track sales activity, pipeline, and account history using company tools
• Represent the company at industry events, trade associations, and customer meetings

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of B2B field sales experience. Direct experience managing customer relationships in regional building materials, aggregates, or a local ready-mix operation is highly preferred.
• Customer Service Focus: Proven track record of handling high-stress client negotiations and resolving field disputes with a calm, professional approach. Proven ability to build and manage customer relationships in a competitive market.
• Strong communication and negotiation skill s — able to work with field crews and executive decision-makers alike. Self-motivated with the ability to manage a territory independently.
• Industry Knowledge: Understanding of ASTM testing protocols, concrete batching basics, and structural blueprint reading.  Familiar with ACI standards and general construction practices. 
• License: A valid driver's license and clean DMV record are mandatory for field travel.
