Real Estate Associate Attorney (3+ Years) | San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)

A long-established, preeminent independent firm is seeking a mid-level real estate associate to join its Chambers-ranked commercial real estate practice. The group handles sophisticated transactions for established companies, developers, investors, and other institutional clients. The practice covers the full transaction lifecycle, including acquisitions and dispositions, development, joint ventures, commercial real estate finance, leasing, and title and survey matters. Associates have substantial responsibility for their matters and regular interaction with both partners and clients. Who This Is For 3+ years of commercial real estate transactional experience in a large law firm or sophisticated boutique Strong experience with acquisitions and dispositions, including title and survey matters Experience with development, joint ventures, finance, or leasing is a plus Strong academic credentials, superior drafting skills, and California bar admission or eligibility Why This Role The firm offers a distinctly different platform from a large national firm: sophisticated work and sophisticated clients, but a leaner structure with direct access to partners and meaningful ownership of matters. Associates are expected to develop as lawyers and client advisors, with a long-term career path for attorneys who want to build within an established independent firm. Compensation for this role will be $245,000–$325,000 base salary depending on experience, plus bonus. The position generally requires 2-3 days per week in office in San Francisco, with hybrid flexibility.
