Details Work within the Critical Care Float Pool at a Level I trauma center Float across multiple ICU environments including neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, and progressive critical care unit (PCCU) Care for ICU/PCC patients in the ED and PACU awaiting bed placement Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM 13-week assignment Every other weekend required Rotating holiday coverage required Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active NY RN license required at time of consideration BLS and other required certifications from AHA or RQI Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required Level I trauma center experience preferred Experience floating across a variety of ICU settings highly desired Epic EMR experience required Prior travel nursing assignment experience required No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months US Social Security Number required Medical exemption required for flu declination (personal or religious exemptions not accepted) Must complete a competency test within 24 hours of consideration Additional Information Provide comprehensive critical care nursing across a range of ICU units based on daily staffing needs Navy blue scrubs required as part of dress code Local candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of specific counties (Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington) are not eligible More than 3 call-outs within a 13-week period may result in contract termination, with make-up shifts required within 6 weeks No blocked scheduling permitted RTO must be requested at time of consideration American Traveler Job ID P-746085.
