Labor & Delivery RN – High-Risk L&D (Nights)

Shift

• Night Shift: 3x12s (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend & holidays as needed

Hard Stop Requirements

✅ 3–5 years recent High-Risk L&D experience (No exceptions)
✅ Experience in a high-acuity, high-volume Labor & Delivery unit
✅ Current Nursys verification required with submission
✅ Current supervisory references required
✅ Proof of certifications required at submission
✅ Must pass clinical review

Required Certifications

• BLS
• NRP

Preferred Certifications

• ACLS
• AWHONN Intermediate
• AWHONN Advanced

Required Skills

• High-Risk Labor & Delivery
• Electronic Fetal Monitoring ( EPIC EFM experience required )
• Circulating C-Sections ( Hard Stop )
• Baby Nurse role during delivery ( Hard Stop )
• Newborn care and assessments ( Hard Stop )
• Vitamin K and Eye Ointment administration ( Hard Stop )
• Transitioning newborns to postpartum

Medication Experience

• Heparin
• Insulin
• Magnesium Sulfate

Unit Details

• 31 Beds / 31 Rooms
• 4 OR Suites
• Average Daily Census: 15
• 500–600 deliveries per month
• Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines

Patient Population

• High-Risk OB
• Midwifery patients
• Private OB patients
• Substance recovery patients
• Community care clinic referrals

Floating

Required to:

• Postpartum
• Antepartum
• Sister facilities with Mother/Baby units
