DESCRIPTION Description Char & Lemon located in the heart of Oxford, CT is looking for a seasoned, professional line cook, who wants to grow with our team. You must be able to maintain a positive work atmosphere and work well in high-pressure situations. As a line cook, you will be committed to safe food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards during the shift. Strong knife skills and experience on the Sauté station are preferred.

- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.
- Handle food with care, following strict food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Use knife skills effectively for chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients to support efficient meal preparation
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality and presentation standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service during busy hours
- Maintain proper food handling procedures, including storage, rotation, and waste management to minimize spoilage and ensure freshness
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
