About the Role:

PIMA BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PLLC is looking for a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated team in Tucson, AZ. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients navigating mental health challenges in a supportive, patient-centered environment.

DO NOT apply for this position if you are not willing to work in-office a minimum of 3 days per week. This is a hybrid position with most patients seen in-person with possibility of work from home 1-2 days per week depending on schedule.

DO NOT apply for this position if you have less than 1 year experience as a full time PMHNP.

Salary negotiable DOE

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments for new and existing patients

Diagnose and treat a wide range of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions

Develop, implement, and manage individualized treatment plans including psychopharmacology

Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications, adjusting as clinically appropriate

Provide supportive psychotherapy and supportive counseling as part of integrated care

Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams, therapists, and community resources

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)

Participate in care coordination and follow-up to ensure continuity of patient care

Requirements:

MINIMUM 1 year experience as a PMHNP, 2+ years experience is strongly preferred

Active and unencumbered Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Arizona (PMHNP certification required)

Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a Psychiatric-Mental Health specialization

Current DEA registration and prescriptive authority in Arizona

Experience in psychiatric evaluation, psychopharmacology, and behavioral health treatment

Strong knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and evidence-based psychiatric practices

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first approach

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a clinical team

Experience with EHR systems and clinical documentation best practices
