Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Degree from an accredited nursing program
• BLS & ACLS certifications
• 18 months recent experience in an acute care oncology setting
• Other requirements to be determined by client facility

Duties and Responsibilities

The oncology RN will care for critically or chronically ill cancer patients, administer chemotherapy, implement symptom‑management methods, and monitor patient progress. They may specialize in pediatric hematology/oncology or breast cancer.

• Provide care for cancer patients throughout all stages, focusing on the acute phase.
• Assist patients ranging from post‑surgical to near‑terminal in managing disease and treatment, including administering chemotherapy.
• Educate patients about treatment options, procedures, and disease particularities.
