Accountant

Accentuate Staffing is currently seeking a Part-time Accountant for our Non-Profit client in Morrisville, NC 27560 . Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Part-time Accountant will be supporting a dual-entity nonprofit (501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4)) during a period of audit, systems improvement, and financial cleanup. Responsibilities: Prepare and support annual financial audits for c3 and c4 entities Clean up and reconcile balance sheet accounts and historical issues Support accounting system implementation or optimization Maintain accurate fund, grant, and inter-entity accounting Track grant budgets, expenses, and compliance (c3) Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and close support Assist with Forms 990 and coordinate with external tax preparers Improve internal controls and accounting processes Assist with accounts payable and receivable, revenue & expense reports Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 7+ years of accounting experience Non-Profit Industry experience required Strong audit and accounting cleanup experience Experience with grant tracking and fund accounting Working knowledge of Form 990 (c3 and c4) Experience with cost allocations and multi-entity accounting Proficiency in common nonprofit accounting systems Advanced Excel skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
