Inventory Control Cherry Picker- $17-$18/hrJob Summary
The Inventory Control Cherry Picker is responsible for accurately locating, counting, auditing, and moving inventory throughout a food distribution warehouse using a cherry picker (order picker) forklift. This role helps maintain inventory accuracy, supports warehouse operations, and ensures compliance with food safety and company standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Operate a cherry picker/order picker forklift to access and retrieve products stored in elevated rack locations.
- Perform cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Research and resolve inventory discrepancies and reporting errors.
- Move, replenish, and organize inventory within the warehouse.
- Verify product quantities, lot numbers, expiration dates, and locations.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners for inventory transactions.
- Assist receiving, shipping, and replenishment teams as needed.
- Ensure products are stored according to food safety and quality standards.
- Report damaged inventory, equipment issues, or safety concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all OSHA, GMP, HACCP, and company safety policies.
- Previous inventory control, warehouse, or food distribution experience preferred.
- Experience operating a cherry picker/order picker forklift required.
- Basic computer and RF scanner experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working at heights of 20 to 40 feet or more on a cherry picker.
- Ability to work in refrigerated, freezer, or ambient warehouse environments as required.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when needed.
