PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Vernon, AL

We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) on a PRN basis to join our growing team in Vernon, AL. Working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will implement treatment plans, support patients in achieving rehabilitation goals, and promote strength, mobility, and independence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.

• Provide hands-on patient care, including therapeutic exercises, modalities, and functional training.

• Monitor and document patient progress; communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist.

• Educate patients and families on exercises, treatment techniques, and recovery strategies.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated patient care.

• Participate in staff meetings, training, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

• Current or eligible Alabama PTA license.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Basic computer proficiency for documentation.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Clinical experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
