Clinical Nurse - Part time Nights

Position Highlights Part Time, Night Shift Every 4th weekend requirement (Saturday & Sunday) Bonus eligible Comprehensive benefits 401K with match Overview The 2100 Inpatient Unit at BJWCH consists of Orthopedic, Spine, Urological, and Plastic Surgery patients. It is a short‑stay unit that provides patients with an exceptional post‑operative experience to discharge home safely. The unit is led by a clinical manager and lead charge nurse and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team including a case manager, social worker, physical therapist, dietitian, pharmacist, physicians, and patient care technicians. Responsibilities Promote patient and family centered care in a healing environment. Educate patients and families on illness or injury management, including post‑treatment home care needs and medication administration. Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Engage in professional development. Develop, implement, and document individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patient, family or caregiver, in accordance with established nursing care guidelines and standards. Proactively plan and ensure communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care. Use critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care. Assess patient preferences, barriers to involvement in care, and values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population‑specific needs. Maintain state of alertness and work safely, as this is a safety‑sensitive position.
