UPMC Western Maryland is seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist to join their team in Cumberland, MD. This role involves providing comprehensive anesthesia care within a supportive care team model. The position offers an opportunity to work with a variety of cases in a state-of-the-art facility, ensuring access to serious medicine close to home for residents in surrounding counties. Practice Info UPMC Western Maryland is a voluntary nonprofit, short term acute care hospital with 240 Medicare certified beds. Provides healthcare services for residents in Allegany and Garrett Counties in Maryland and surrounding counties in West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Cases include Ortho, General, Neuro, and GYN. Strong team of Anesthesiologists and CRNA's that work together seamlessly. The facility offers a variety of cases for providers to keep their skills up. Responsibilities Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures Pre-anesthesia assessment Obtains and/or verifies patient consent Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition Performance of clinical intervention as needed Compensation Salary: $625,000 Cardiac Stipend: $25,000 Sign-on Incentives (Bonus with/without retention, Training Assistance, or Loan Repayment): $75,000 Relocation opportunities Benefits Advanced and continuing medical education Generous paid time off Generous benefits package, including: Health, life, vision, dental, disability, and AD&D insurance Flexible Spending Accounts/Health Savings Accounts 401(k) Fully paid malpractice insurance coverage Leadership and professional development opportunities Shift & Schedule Various Shifts No in house call Beeper call Requirements M.D./D.O.
