This role involves managing scheduling duties for imaging exams, ensuring patients receive clear preparation instructions and directions for their appointments. The coordinator handles all phone inquiries with professionalism and efficiency, collects necessary patient information, and prioritizes urgent exams appropriately. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to unit safety and infection control protocols.
- Schedule imaging appointments and provide patients with detailed preparation instructions.
- Guide patients on where to arrive for their exams.
- Respond courteously and efficiently to all phone calls.
- Identify and prioritize urgent exams for timely scheduling.
- Confirm appointment times with patients through follow-up calls.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience scheduling appointments in a medical clinic setting; radiology experience may substitute for scheduling experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to comprehend medical terminology and related documents.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
