Social Media Manager

Outtake is looking for a Social Media Manager. You will own and grow Outtake's presence across LinkedIn and X, developing the strategy, building the editorial calendar, creating and publishing content, engaging with the audience, and tracking performance. You will have meaningful autonomy and will be expected to take a broad brief and turn it into a consistent stream of relevant, high-quality content.

You will operate as a small, self-directed content studio inside Outtake. Rather than waiting for assignments, you will proactively find stories across the company, spend time with employees and customers, and turn what you learn into timely, platform-native content — working closely with the CEO to understand and sharpen Outtake's voice, then translate it consistently across the company's social channels.

This is a role that requires immersion in the conversation. You will immerse yourself in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, online trust, identity, fraud, and the wider conversations shaping the internet, identifying where Outtake can contribute something timely and distinctive and finding compelling ways to bring the company into those conversations.

What You'll Do

• Own Outtake's company accounts across LinkedIn and X, from strategy and planning through publishing and performance analysis.
• Learn Outtake's product, customers, market, and point of view deeply enough to create content with limited oversight.
• Build your own content pipeline by proactively identifying interesting people, customer stories, product developments, and moments worth sharing.
• Interview employees and customers to uncover insights, stories, and perspectives that can become compelling social content.
• Turn interviews, conversations, and emerging ideas into posts, clips, graphics, and recurring content formats quickly.
• Identify emerging topics, news cycles, and online discussions where Outtake has a credible and interesting perspective.
• Create lightweight visual content, simple graphics, carousels, screenshots, and short-form video edits to support social storytelling.
• Track audience growth, engagement, brand relevance, website traffic, and downstream business impact.
• As the content function matures, we expect this role to take on broader ownership over Outtake's editorial voice and content strategy.

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated ability to create strong social content, whether through professional work, independent projects, or a compelling personal portfolio.
• The judgment to participate in timely conversations without sounding forced, opportunistic, or disconnected from the brand.
• Comfort owning a process independently, making decisions with incomplete information, and moving work forward without extensive oversight.
• The resourcefulness to take an idea from concept to finished post using the tools and support available.
• Experience creating lightweight visual assets and making quick video or image edits.
• Comfort using analytics to evaluate performance, identify patterns, and make informed creative decisions.
• Cybersecurity or AI experience is not required — we care more about your ability to learn quickly, develop informed perspectives, and turn complex ideas into content people want to engage with.
